Your 7-Night Trekking Plan: Dehradun to Dehradun

Day 01-Drive from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti (2,134 m / 7,000 ft.); 162 km, 7-8 hours

Drive from Dehradun through scenic mountain roads, passing rivers, pine forests, and remote villages to reach Hanuman Chatti. The journey offers beautiful views of the Garhwal Himalayas. Upon arrival, check into the guesthouse and rest. Spend the evening acclimatizing and preparing for the trek ahead.

Day 02-Hanuman Chatti (2,134 m / 7,000 ft.) to Kandola (2,590 m / 8,500 ft.); 5 Km, 3-4 hours

Begin your trek from Hanuman Chatti towards Kandola. The trail passes through dense oak and pine forests with gradual ascents. Enjoy peaceful surroundings, chirping birds, and mountain views along the way. Reach Kandola campsite by afternoon and relax amidst nature.

Day 03-Kandola (2,590 m / 8,500 ft.) to Gulabikantha Summit (3,658 m / 12,000 ft.) via Seema Thatch (3,200 m / 10,500 ft.); 14 km, 7–8 hours

This is the most exciting day of the trek. Walk through scenic alpine meadows of Seema Thatch before ascending towards the Gulabi Kantha summit. From the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of snow-clad Himalayan peaks and endless mountain ranges. After spending some time at the summit, descend back to Kandola for an overnight stay.

Day 04-Kandola (2,590 m / 8,500 ft.) to Hanuman Chatti (2,134 m / 7,000 ft.); 5 Km, 2–3 hours

Trek downhill from Kandola back to Hanuman Chatti. The descent is relatively easy and allows you to enjoy the forest trails and mountain scenery once again. Upon reaching Hanuman Chatti, relax and enjoy the calm village atmosphere.

Day 05-Hanuman Chatti (2,134 m / 7,000 ft.) to Dehradun; 162 Km, 7–8 hours

After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun with beautiful memories of the Gulabi Kantha Trek. Enjoy the scenic return journey through mountain roads and valleys. Arrive in Dehradun by evening, marking the end of the trek.

  • Pilgrim vehicles are not allowed to operate after 8 PM as per state law.
